National Police locate two youths reported missing in Santiago
National Police agents managed to locate, in separate operations and in good health, two young people who had been reported missing during this month of August in the province of Santiago. Both cases were handled promptly by the authorities after receiving reports from their relatives and guardians.
Case details
The first incident involves a 20-year-old young man, whose identity is being kept confidential, who was reported missing on August 10th after leaving his home in the Reparto Peralta sector. Two days after the report, the young man was located by law enforcement. According to his own testimony, his absence was voluntary, detailing that he was traveling through various areas of Santiago and Santiago Rodríguez with a friend. After the required verifications, he was handed over to his relatives.
In a separate intervention, authorities located a 13-year-old adolescent. The minor, who resided in a protection center in Santiago, had been reported missing since August 7. At the time she was found, she was accompanied by another teenager.
The minor was taken before the competent authorities, where she received the corresponding evaluation in accordance with the protocols established for these types of cases. Subsequently, she was handed over to the personnel responsible for her protection and care for her reintegration into the center.
