Blow to crime: Gang dedicated to business robbery with a millionaire loot dismantled
The National Police announced the dismantling of a dangerous criminal structure that operated in various parts of the Dominican Republic, specializing in the robbery of commercial establishments, companies, and financial entities through the method of breaking and entering.
The operation resulted in the capture of seven individuals, while authorities continue the active search for six other suspects who remain at large. According to investigations, this gang was allegedly responsible for a series of robberies perpetrated throughout the year 2026, using specialized tools, vehicles, and disguises to carry out their misdeeds and evade authorities.
A loot exceeding 14 million pesos
The authorities have linked this criminal group to incidents that occurred in locations such as La Vega, Higüey, Villa Tapia, Maimón, Puerto Plata, Cotuí, and Jima Abajo. Among the affected places are hardware stores, remittance agencies, dairy factories, ice cream parlors, and financial entities. They are even attributed with an attempted robbery of an ATM located at a gas station.
The total amount stolen in the documented incidents amounts to more than 14.3 million Dominican pesos and more than 4,300 US dollars, a figure that could increase as the investigation progresses.
Detainees and ringleaders of the network
Among those arrested, Osiris Rafael Delgado Ceballo, alias “La Puerquita,” stands out, identified by security forces as the alleged ringleader of the organization, who is currently being held in La Vega. The other detainees have been identified as:
- Kreilin Omar Delgado Jiménez (alias “Omar”)
- Fraylin de Js. Valerio Delgado (alias “The Cousin”)
- Víctor Manuel Gómez Reyes
- Constauri Yanuel Tejada Trinidad
- Juan de Jesús Núñez Bruno (alias “Fatty”)
- Livand Andrés Sosa González (alias “Designer”)
Evidence and search for fugitives
During the raids, agents seized vehicles, cutting tools, clothing, and equipment used for cloning vehicle license plates, key elements that strengthen the case against those involved. In parallel, the National Police is intensifying intelligence efforts to capture the six remaining fugitives, identified by the aliases “Omega,” “Jhon” (The Haitian), “El Grande,” “El Flaco,” “El Ganter,” and Charlie Plasencia Díaz.
The law enforcement institution reiterated its commitment to citizen security and urged the population to collaborate with any relevant information that would allow for the whereabouts of the fugitives to be found and to fully clarify the illicit activities of this network.
