Temporary closure of the Floating Bridge this Saturday: Details and alternate routes
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has informed the public that the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will be closed to vehicular traffic throughout this Saturday. The measure responds to the need to facilitate the movement of two vessels through the area.
According to the official schedule, the traffic restriction will take place in the morning, specifically from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Reasons for closure
The authorities detailed that this closure is strictly necessary to allow the maneuvering of the following vessels:
- M/V Water Spirit 2: Bound for the Joseph Industrial Development Corp. SRL shipyard.
- R/M Midgard Hugo: Bound for the Malaca facilities.
