Orange Caribbean Forum 2026: Human creativity in the face of the artificial intelligence challenge

Santo Domingo prepares to host the sixth edition of the Orange Caribbean Forum, a strategic meeting that will bring to the table the value of identity, sensitivity, and imagination in a global environment increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence. Under the slogan “Human creativity: what AI cannot imagine,” the event, organized by Switch HAVAS and SIP Group, will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

This edition will bring together important leaders from the business sector, representatives of public institutions, and international experts. The main objective is to transform the challenges presented by the accelerated technological evolution into tangible opportunities for the economic and cultural development of the region.

A space for innovation and sustainability

The Orange Caribbean Forum has established itself as an essential benchmark for the professionalization of creative trades. During the event, attendees will participate in keynote speeches, discussion panels, and networking sessions designed to strengthen cultural projects through the use of advanced technological tools, while also allowing for the exploration of new international markets.

In a world where artificial intelligence is transforming the way we produce, it is essential to recognize that what stems from our intuition and identity remains the primary engine of innovation. The Caribbean has the potential to position itself as a global benchmark in creative industries if we bet on our human essence.

Talent as the central axis of the orange economy

The organizers emphasize that, while technology facilitates execution processes, judgment and the ability to tell stories with one’s own voice are irreplaceable assets. According to Arlette Palacio, CEO of SIP Group, the sustainability of these industries depends on profitability and professionalization:

  • Artificial intelligence democratizes production, but not creative sensitivity.
  • The orange economy is an industry with low environmental impact and high added value.
  • It is necessary to equip creators with solid business models and digital skills.
  • The Caribbean must combine its unique identity with technology to gain competitiveness.

Trajectory and future vision

Since its creation in 2021, the Orange Caribbean Forum has managed to impact more than 1,200 in-person attendees and has convened more than 120 key players in the creative ecosystem. The platform, which works throughout the year, is complemented by initiatives such as “The Orange Chair” and “Orange Connection,” projects dedicated to making local talent visible and fostering the exchange of experiences among professionals from diverse disciplines.

With the support of various organizations, the event reaffirms the Dominican Republic’s commitment to becoming a regional creative hub, where technology and culture do not compete, but rather integrate to drive sustainable growth.
