Cameraman demands justice after armed robbery on the November 6th highway
One week after the violent assault suffered by cameraman Félix Abreu in the Quita Sueño section of Haina, the image worker reported that the authorities have still not managed to capture those responsible for the incident. The event, which has caused concern in the community, occurred while Abreu was heading home after finishing his workday.
The incident took place last Tuesday, at approximately 8:40 at night, when two individuals intercepted him after he left Alma Frío street. According to the victim, upon noticing the presence of the subjects, he tried to evade them by speeding up his pace, but was forced to stop when he was directly threatened with a firearm.
Petition to 9-1-1 authorities
After filing a formal complaint at the Haina police station, Abreu requested that the competent authorities conduct an exhaustive review of the footage captured by the cameras of the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Attention System located in the area of the robbery. The cameraman trusts that these devices can provide clear clues regarding the identity of the criminals and the route they took to flee.
The stolen motorcycle was not only my daily work tool, but also the essential means to take my three children to school and earn extra income as a motorcycle taxi driver to support my family.
