Change in the National Police: Ernesto Rodríguez García assumes the general directorship
In a formal act filled with symbolism and commitment to the nation, the change of command of the National Police took place. Major General (ret.) Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz formally handed over the institutional flag to Major General Ernesto Rodríguez García, thus marking the beginning of a new stage at the forefront of citizen security.
During the ceremony, Cruz Cruz praised the career of his successor and urged him to perform his duties with the firmness and responsibility that the institution demands. The outgoing officer expressed his full confidence in Rodriguez Garcia’s leadership, wishing him success in the challenges he will take on from now on.
The flag represents the commitment and institutional values that have guided my 39 years of uninterrupted service to the homeland.
