National Police Director oversees security strategies in San Pedro de Macorís

As part of his work agenda to strengthen institutional operations nationwide, Major General Ernesto Rodríguez García, Director General of the National Police, visited the province of San Pedro de Macorís this Sunday. The main objective of this meeting was to supervise the work of the Southeast Regional Directorate and strengthen ties with the police personnel in that jurisdiction.

The high police command was accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officers, including General Leonicio Natera Melenciano, Southeast Regional Director; Colonel Pedro José Wade Uribe, regional inspector; as well as representatives from the Criminal Investigations (Dicrim) and Intelligence (Dintel) directorates, Colonels Félix A. Gómez Almonte and Eddy Alcántara Pinales, respectively.

Focus on discipline and citizen service

The meeting, held at the facilities of the Macorisano Cultural Center, served as a stage for a direct dialogue with senior officers, subordinates, and enlisted personnel. During the meeting, key points for current police management were addressed, such as:

  • Rigorous compliance with the institutional mission.
  • Optimization of crime prevention strategies.
  • The importance of discipline and professionalism in daily performance.
  • Strengthening the service aimed at guaranteeing citizen security.

These visits allow us to learn firsthand about the needs of our agents, while also serving to reinforce the strategic guidelines that seek greater closeness and protection for the entire population.

This day is part of a strategic tour that Major General Rodríguez García is conducting throughout all jurisdictions of the country. After finishing his commitments in San Pedro de Macorís, the director of the institution will continue his journey through the other provinces of the Eastern region, supervising the police deployment and ensuring that security strategies are carried out as planned.
