Strategic reorganization: National Police intervenes in Cotuí detachment with massive changes

In a tactical move to strengthen citizen security, the Cibao Sur Regional Directorate of the National Police has executed a deep restructuring of the Cotuí detachment. Under the leadership of General Miguel Mata Rodríguez, Colonel William Castillo has been positioned as the new commander of the post, marking the beginning of a new stage in the surveillance of the Sánchez Ramírez province.

The measure, which has been surprising due to its magnitude, included the immediate transfer of 50 police officers. This action encompasses senior officers, subordinates, ranks, and enlisted personnel, who have been reassigned to other detachments outside the jurisdiction, with the aim of optimizing operational performance and restoring public order.

Commitment to citizen peace

During his inauguration speech, Colonel William Castillo was emphatic when addressing elements operating outside the law. The new police commander made it clear that his administration will not tolerate criminal actions, sending a direct message to the groups that have recently disturbed the peace of the inhabitants of Cotuí.

General Mata Rodríguez has guaranteed that these actions are part of a comprehensive plan designed to restore peace and security to all residents of the Sánchez Ramírez province.

Continuity in operations

These changes, infrequent due to their volume in other endowments in the country, respond to a strategy of institutional purification and strengthening. According to information obtained by Alofoke Deportes, the transformation process does not stop here:

  • Significant changes have been made to the DICRIM personnel in the area.
  • It is expected that in the coming hours, new mass transfers of agents will be announced throughout the geography of Sánchez Ramírez.
  • The intervention seeks greater effectiveness in the police response to current criminal challenges.

With these measures, the authorities seek to block the path to criminality and regain the community’s trust through a renewed police presence that is more committed to the province’s comprehensive security.
