Milton Morrison concludes his tenure at the head of INTRANT after two years of management

Milton Morrison has formalized his departure this Sunday from the executive directorship of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT), marking the end of a two-year period at the helm of this key entity for mobility in the Dominican Republic. His replacement comes following the decree by President Luis Abinader, who has appointed Juan Manuel Méndez to take the reins of the institution.

Upon stepping down from his duties, Morrison reflected on his time in public administration, emphasizing that his vision was always to view state positions as a temporary commitment to service rather than a personal benefit.

Today concludes one of the most important responsibilities of my public life. I assumed the leadership of INTRANT with the conviction that public offices are not a privilege, they are a temporary responsibility to serve the nation.

Achievements and acknowledgments

The former official took the opportunity to thank the president for the trust placed in his administration, highlighting the freedom and support received to execute structural changes in the institution. Likewise, he emphasized the fundamental role of his work team:

  • Recognition of the INTRANT team, highlighting their commitment to transparent management.
  • Gratitude to his family for the support provided during the two years of management.
  • Emphasis that integrity and results were the cornerstones of his administration.

Pending challenges and future commitment

Although Morrison retires with the satisfaction of handing over a strengthened institution, he acknowledged that the transit and transportation system in the country continues to face significant challenges. According to the former director, building solid institutions is a continuous process that requires the effort of each generation.

Finally, Morrison reiterated that, despite concluding his tenure at INTRANT, his commitment to the development of the Dominican Republic remains intact. He assured that he will continue working for the well-being of the country from any space where he can contribute value, maintaining his principles of transparency and service to the collective interest.
