Police operation in El Seibo results in the seizure of illicit substances
In a coordinated effort between the Provincial Intelligence Division (DINTEL) and Preventive Police agents, authorities managed to arrest a man in the municipal district of Santa Lucía, in the province of El Seibo. The individual was intercepted during a targeted patrol operation that sought to strengthen security in the area.
After conducting a thorough search, the uniformed officers found a total of 50 portions of various narcotic substances inside a fanny pack. According to the preliminary report, the seized items consist of:
- 29 portions of a white powder, presumably cocaine.
- 11 portions of a green vegetable, with characteristics typical of marijuana.
- 10 wrappers of a rocky substance, presumed to be crack.
In addition to the narcotics, the agents seized a sum of cash and impounded the motorcycle the detainee was riding at the time of his capture.
The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to face legal consequences for the alleged violation of Law 50-88 on Drugs and Controlled Substances.
The case is currently under investigation, and the authorities have confirmed that both the individual and the collected evidence have been handed over to the justice system for the corresponding due legal process.
