In an international cooperation operation, authorities managed to capture Jhovanny De Jesús Metz Cruz in Jamaica, better known as “Macho,” who was actively sought for his alleged participation in the death of truck driver Deivy Carlos Abreu, in an event that shocked the city of Santiago.
The arrest was confirmed following intelligence efforts coordinated between INTERPOL Dominican Republic, the Cibao Central Regional Directorate, and Jamaican security forces. The individual, who had an active arrest warrant under number 2026-AJ0030957-8, was located outside the national territory after having managed to leave the country using false documentation.
