Kelvin Cruz praises historic performance of the Dominican U-15 national baseball team at the World Cup

Sports Minister Kelvin Cruz extended a warm congratulation to the U-15 national baseball team following their brilliant performance in the World Cup of the category, which was held at the Kukulcán Álamo Park in Mérida, Mexico.

The Dominican team managed to secure the silver medal after a highly competitive duel against the United States. The match, which was decided in extra innings, concluded with the North American team taking the title of the event sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation.

We feel very proud and satisfied with this group of talented young people who held the name of the Dominican Republic very high in the U-15 Baseball World Cup, taking home the silver medal in a hard-fought match against the United States.

  • Improvement over the seventh place reached in Colombia 2024.
