Tension in Gaza: New attacks and casualties reported in the Strip
The situation in the Gaza Strip remains critical following a new day of violence. Recent reports confirm the death of a Palestinian citizen in Jabalia, in the north of the enclave, as a result of gunfire by Israeli military forces.
The escalation of hostilities also spread to the south and center of the region. In the Mawasi area, near Khan Yunis, an attack carried out by a military drone left several people injured, including a minor. Similarly, during Friday night, an offensive in the town of Zawaida resulted in the death of another man and left several people wounded.
Context of the offensive
Despite the existence of a ceasefire, armed incidents remain a daily constant in the territory. Military operations, which include targeted drone strikes, are often directed at targets linked to Hamas, although unfortunately these actions have caused civilian casualties, affecting women and children on various occasions.
Israeli incursions remain active both in areas where their troops operate and in the vicinity of delimited zones, creating constant uncertainty for the Gazan population.
