National District Mayor’s Office promotes back-to-school with recycling drive
The Municipal Palace, located in the Centro de los Héroes, was the setting this Saturday for the third edition of the “Plastics for School Supplies” program. The initiative, promoted by the National District City Hall, has managed to combine a commitment to the environment with direct support for the family economy during the school season.
From early hours, a large influx of citizens from various sectors of the capital gathered at the venue to exchange plastic bottles for educational materials. This activity seeks to promote a culture of recycling while offering financial relief to households preparing for the start of the school year.
Positive impact on the community
The attendees expressed their satisfaction with the program, highlighting the importance of this type of aid to cover essential expenses such as backpacks and notebooks. The participants’ effort was remarkable; some arrived prepared with thousands of units collected over previous days, as was the case with one citizen who managed to gather nearly 4,000 bottles for exchange.
It is a good initiative, everything is very nice.
