Gang captured after committing robbery at appliance store in Boca Chica
National Police agents managed to dismantle a gang dedicated to robbing commercial establishments, after arresting five individuals of Haitian nationality in the San Carlos sector, National District. The subjects are identified as those responsible for stealing various electronic devices from a store located in El Valiente, Boca Chica.
The detainees were identified by the authorities as Junior Wilbert, 32; Potto Woleensky, 20; Edinson Padilla, 22; Davilson Pie, 23, and Guivens Desanges, 22. The capture was carried out effectively when agents intercepted the suspects at the intersection of Respaldo México and Altagracia streets, in the capital.
Recovered evidence
During the arrest operation, the agents managed to recover the merchandise that had been stolen from the commercial establishment Electrodomésticos Ecotuisano, located on Duarte Street in El Valiente. Among the seized items are:
- Two 43-inch televisions.
- One 40-inch television.
- A blender.
- A speaker.
The detainees and the seized evidence will be placed at the disposal of the La Caleta, Boca Chica police unit for the corresponding legal purposes.
The law enforcement institution reported that investigations into this criminal act are ongoing, with the aim of clarifying all the circumstances surrounding the robbery and determining if the individuals are involved in other illicit acts in the area.
