Fedom announces the start of the 6th U-6 National Baseball Championship
The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) is preparing to kick off one of its most special competitions: the 6th U-6 National Championship. This tournament, which seeks to promote sports development in children between 5 and 6 years old, will be played in honor of the “Frank Camilo” cup.
The sporting event is scheduled for next Sunday, August 23rd, and will take place on the grounds of the “Tito Pereyra” field, located at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, in Santo Domingo.
A historic growth in child participation
In this edition, the event has reached a milestone by registering the participation of 33 teams from across the country. This initiative not only allows children to get started in baseball at an early age, but also serves as a platform for them to begin developing their technical skills and acquiring their first tactical knowledge on the field.

From this stage on, the championship will continue under a knockout or sudden death format until the grand champion is defined.
The atmosphere at the Olympic Center is expected to be vibrant, with the constant support of parents, grandparents, and relatives, who year after year flock to the stands to cheer on the future talents of Dominican baseball.
