The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic has released the reference values for the euro corresponding to this Friday, August 21. The performance of the European currency shows variations adjusted to the current foreign exchange market, affecting both banking entities and remittance and exchange agents.

At the end of the day, banking entities established the euro selling rate at RD$69.93, while the buying rate was set at RD$65.64. When making a monthly comparison, it is observed that the Dominican peso has experienced a slight appreciation of 0.20% in the buying rate, contrasting with a depreciation of -0.34% in its selling value compared to the figures recorded a month ago, when it stood at RD$65.77 and RD$69.69, respectively.
Results in Remittance and Exchange Agents
On the other hand, the Remittance and Exchange Agents sector reported a closing of the day with the following values for the European currency:
- Purchase rate: RD$67.04
- Selling rate: RD$69.06
In this segment, market dynamics reflect a depreciation of the Dominican peso of -0.46% for buying and -0.29% for selling. These figures represent an adjustment compared to the rates reported thirty days ago, a period during which the currency was trading at RD$66.73 for buying and RD$68.86 for selling.
