Solidarity in La Vega: Young entrepreneurs deliver school supplies in Villa Rosa

In a joint effort to strengthen education and support low-income families, a group of young entrepreneurs, communicators, and professionals came together to bring backpacks and school supplies to the children of the Villa Rosa community, in the southern area of La Vega. This event is part of a solidarity initiative held annually with the goal of facilitating the start of the school year for students in the region.

The event’s logistics were coordinated by Elmerk Jonas, who managed to integrate prominent representatives from Ecos School of Communications, including communicator Esmeralda Santos, along with Isaac Rosario and Aleska Chávez. The participation of this multidisciplinary team was fundamental to ensuring the success of the delivery and reaffirming the social commitment to the Vegan communities.

A collective effort for education

The activity was supported by various actors from the private and professional sectors, who joined the cause to expand its impact. Among the collaborators were Ornella Beauty; Fátima Aracena, from Tienda La Reina; Yaritza and Melissa Peña, from Gómez Viloria Importadora; Dr. Yahaira Rosso; businesswoman Annya Bello and the young Rangel. Their contribution was key to providing students with essential tools for their academic training.

When entrepreneurs, communicators, and professionals unite around a cause, we can contribute our grain of sand and be closer to those who need it most.

Elmerk Jonas, coordinator of the initiative

Virginia Holguín, local coordinator of Villa Rosa, welcomed the team and personally accompanied the distribution of the supplies, ensuring that the materials reached the hands of the children and youth of the community directly.

A solidarity route that continues

This delivery in Villa Rosa marks the beginning of a solidarity route that will extend through four communities in La Vega. The purpose of this tour is to provide tangible support to families facing the greatest economic needs, allowing students to begin their school year with greater enthusiasm and the necessary resources.

Elmerk Jonas emphasized that these types of events transcend material aid, as they seek to bring a message of hope and support to the most vulnerable neighborhoods and rural areas. The goal, according to the organizers, is to maintain constant social work that promotes community integration and the well-being of future generations in La Vega.
