Blow to micro-trafficking: DNCD dismantles network linked to alias El Cabo

In a tactical deployment coordinated by the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and the Public Ministry, three men identified as key figures in a structure dedicated to micro-trafficking in the province were captured. The operations, executed simultaneously at strategic points, seek to dismantle illicit operations linked to an individual identified as El Cabo.

Operation details

The interventions were carried out in the Las Maras, Los Pomos, and Los Rieles sectors. During the police deployment, the authorities managed to arrest the following individuals:

  • Sixto Javier Rosario De León, known as Coca Cola.
  • Luis Armando Almonte, identified as Papito.
  • Carlos Pool, alias Chimbala.

Seizure of illicit substances

During the search of Rosario De León, the agents managed to seize a bag containing 87 portions of a white powder, presumably cocaine, with an approximate total weight of 278 grams. Likewise, the authorities reported the confiscation of 57 wrappers of a vegetable substance presumed to be marijuana, the weight of which is also around 278 grams. In addition to the narcotics, a sum of 800 pesos in cash was seized.

The three detainees are identified by the authorities as alleged members of a structure dedicated to micro-trafficking, which maintains direct links with the individual known by the alias El Cabo.

The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes, while the authorities continue the investigations to determine the full extent of this criminal network in the region.
