Amaia Montero celebrates her 50th birthday amidst a successful return to the stage
The renowned artist Amaia Montero reaches half a century of life today at an unbeatable professional and personal moment. The singer, originally from Irun, Gipuzkoa, is going through a stage of fulfillment marked by her return to La Oreja de Van Gogh, the group she has rejoined after an 18-year solo career.
Currently, Montero is immersed in the tour titled “Tantas cosas que contar” (So many things to tell), a series of concerts that has led her to perform on nearly 15 stages over the last three months, consolidating a long-awaited reunion for her followers.

Reflecting on this anniversary, the performer stated that she feels content with her present. While she acknowledges that the passage of time brings transformations, she highlights that she would not wish to return to earlier stages of her youth, which were marked by insecurities, doubts, and learning processes that are now part of her past.

Amaia Montero’s return to music has been a significant milestone. During her first concert after her comeback, held in Bilbao on May 9th, the artist shared with her audience the vulnerability she experienced before resuming her career:

The success of the call has been such that new dates have had to be added and several locations have reported a full house. The screening of “Tantas cosas que contar” is not limited to Europe, as a Latin American leg has been confirmed that includes countries such as:

This new chapter for La Oreja de Van Gogh comes after the departure of Leire Martínez, who held the role of lead singer during Montero’s absence, thus marking the beginning of a renewed stage for the band and its iconic singer.
