AFP Popular and CONAPE consolidate strategic alliance for the well-being of older adults
In a joint effort to improve the quality of life for our elderly, the Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones (AFP) Popular and the National Council for the Elderly (CONAPE) have formalized an institutional cooperation agreement. This pact seeks to coordinate and execute actions that strengthen public policies focused on the senior citizen sector in the Dominican Republic.
The initiative is integrated into AFP Popular’s “Aging with Dignity” program, a fundamental pillar of its social responsibility strategy that prioritizes comprehensive support and the well-being of older adults. Through this agreement, both entities will combine their technical and operational capabilities to promote active, healthy aging with full access to their rights.
Concrete actions with social impact
This signing does not represent a beginning, but the continuation of a collaborative agenda that has already achieved significant milestones for the aging population. Among the projects carried out, the following stand out:
- The inauguration of the Clemente Pérez Day Center in Pedernales, designed to offer comprehensive care.
- The delivery of more than 2,700 kits of medication and fortified food.
- The donation of 10 specialized position beds for elderly people in vulnerable situations.
At AFP Popular, we have been committed for years to contributing to the well-being and dignity of older adults, convinced that a more supportive society is built by caring for those who have contributed so much to the country. This work is part of our vision of social responsibility and our purpose of generating value for people at every stage of their lives.
Luis J. Jiménez, Executive Vice President and General Manager of AFP Popular.
With this commitment, AFP Popular reaffirms its role in building a more inclusive society, while CONAPE continues to fulfill its mission of ensuring the protection and rights of older adults throughout the national territory, guaranteeing that they receive the attention and care they deserve after a lifetime of contributions to the country’s development.
