The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, traveled this Wednesday to the Blandino Funeral Home, located on Abraham Lincoln Avenue, to pay his respects and offer condolences to the family of Jaime Francisco Sued Pichardo, founder of Laboratorios Sued, following his recent passing.

Upon his arrival, the president was received by the businessman’s close associates, with whom he shared a moment of solidarity before heading to the room where the remains of the man who was an iconic figure in the Dominican business sector are being waked.

Don Jaime was an enterprising, discreet, and very hardworking man, with great ethics; furthermore, he was a great asset to society.

During the meeting with the press, the head of State highlighted Sued Pichardo’s career, underscoring his fundamental role in the pharmaceutical sector. Through Sued & Fargesa, a leading company in the manufacturing and distribution of medicines in the country, the businessman managed to consolidate a work model based on innovation and national service.

The life of Jaime Francisco Sued, born on December 11, 1938, was marked by a strategic vision that transcended the medical industry. His influence was also notable in the financial sector, standing out for the following contributions:

  • Shareholder of Grupo BHD for more than 30 years.
  • Member of the Board of Directors of Centro Financiero BHD.
  • Chairman of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee of the same financial entity.
