Aaron Judge begins his recovery process with batting practice
New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge has reached a significant milestone in his rehabilitation by resuming tee work. This activity marks the first time the star outfielder has taken swings with a bat since he was sidelined in late May.
The manager of the New York nine, Aaron Boone, confirmed that the slugger has been working on this aspect over the last two days, showing positive progress in his recovery. The coaching staff remains optimistic about the advances shown by their star.
Injury details and physical progress
Judge is dealing with a stress fracture in his first right rib. The injury reportedly originated after a physical effort during a diving catch in Houston on April 26th. Despite the discomfort, the player remained in the active lineup for several weeks before being placed on the injured list.
Aaron’s progress has been favorable. He is now cleared to throw, run outdoors, and perform upper-body resistance exercises, which is a fundamental step for his return to competition.
