Ohtani Hits Monumental Home Run Against Brewers’ Prospect
In an exciting baseball game, Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers star, demonstrated his power by hitting an impressive home run against the sensation rookie of the Milwaukee Brewers, Jacob Misiorowski.
Ohtani’s hit, which traveled a distance of 431 feet, was the first of the game and the 31st of the season for the Dodgers player, becoming the most home runs for a player on the team before the All-Star break.
This was Ohtani’s 21st opening home run of his career.
Misiorowski, known for his fastball that exceeds 100 mph, responded by striking out the following five batters. The pitcher left the game with a 2-1 lead after striking out 12 batters in six innings, setting a new personal record.
The 6’7″ pitcher threw 91 pitches, allowed four hits, and gave a walk to Ohtani in the sixth inning.
Ohtani struck out on a curveball in the third inning.
Misiorowski reached a maximum speed of 101.6 mph and threw 20 pitches at 100 mph or more. In addition, he threw 19 curves, a significant change considering that before the game he only used them 10% of the time.
Misiorowski was coming off a less solid performance. After allowing only three hits in his first three starts, the pitcher gave up five runs, including a grand slam, and three walks in 3⅔ innings in a 7-3 loss against the Mets.
