Linn Grant conquers The Annika with a dominant performance
Swedish golfer Linn Grant demonstrated exceptional control in her game, culminating in a victory at The Annika with a score of 5 under par (65) for a total of three strokes ahead of Jennifer Kupcho. This victory represents Grant’s second LPGA title, and the second time she has received the trophy from the legendary Swedish golfer and tournament host, Annika Sorenstam.Grant maintained an impressive streak of 52 consecutive holes without making a bogey, which finally came to an end on the last hole, although by that time the victory was already assured. He finished the tournament with a total of 19 under par (261). The Swedish golfer expressed her satisfaction with the performance, highlighting the feeling of satisfaction upon finishing the tournament with a victory. Grant remembered his childhood, when he attended Sorenstam’s clinics in Sweden, which gave a special meaning to this victory.“You made this field look easy. It’s not easy,” Sorenstam commented to Grant on the 18th hole.

Nataliya Guseva and Lucy Li also secured their place in next week’s tournament. Grant, who has won titles on various tours since 2020, including the LPGA, the Ladies European Tour and the European Tour, expressed the importance of maintaining a successful trajectory in golf. Nelly Korda, the defending champion, couldn’t compete with Grant and finished in 15th place.“It was incredible. All week I was saying, ‘I want to win the Lamborghini.’ … I still can’t believe it.
