In an exciting golf day, Steven Fisk demonstrated his determination by securing his first victory on the PGA Tour at the Sanderson Farms Championship. With an impeccable performance in the last holes, Fisk culminated with an impressive 8-under-par 64, sealing his triumph.
The competition intensified with Garrick Higgo, who maintained a close battle until the last moments. Both golfers starred in a memorable duel at the Jackson Country Club.
The turning point came on the 16th hole, where Fisk sank a 40-foot birdie, prompting a response from Higgo with his own birdie. The tension increased on the 17th hole, where a mistake by Higgo cost him valuable points.
Fisk, with a solid strategy, achieved a birdie on the 17th hole and secured his victory with another birdie on the 18th hole, surpassing Higgo by two strokes.
