Stewart Cink Wins Charles Schwab Cup

In an exciting final round at the Phoenix Country Club, Stewart Cink claimed victory at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, an event that marks the end of the PGA Tour Champions season.

Cink, with an outstanding performance, completed the course with a card of 67 strokes, four under par, finishing the tournament with a total of 20 under par (264 strokes). This victory secured him the Charles Schwab Cup season points title.

Steven Alker, who was leading the standings after the third round, finished in second place both in the championship and in the overall season standings. Alker stumbled on the 18th hole, a par 5, where he recorded a bogey, culminating his participation with a round of 70 strokes.

For Cink, 52, this is his third victory of the season and the fourth in 36 appearances on the over-50 circuit. Throughout his career, Cink has achieved eight victories on the PGA Tour, highlighting his triumph at the 2009 British Open, where he defeated Tom Watson in a playoff.

In a tie for third place, with a total of 15 under par, were Freddie Jacobson (66), Jerry Kelly (67) and Tommy Gainey (68).
