Rahaman Ali, brother of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, dies
The boxing world mourns the loss of Rahaman Ali, younger brother of the iconic Muhammad Ali, who passed away at the age of 82. The Muhammad Ali Center announced the passing of Rahaman last Friday in Louisville, Kentucky. The cause of his death has not been revealed at this time. Rahaman followed in his older brother’s footsteps in professional boxing, starting his career in 1964 and extending to 1972. During this period, he accumulated a record of 14 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw.
You cannot tell the story of Muhammad without mentioning Rahaman. He was one of the most consistent sources of support for Muhammad during his career and their relationship was a true example of what it means to be “my brother’s keeper.”
