WWE Comes to ESPN: A New Chapter for Wrestling Fans

A historic agreement between World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and ESPN will mark the beginning of a new era for wrestling fans. Starting in 2026, WWE premium events, including WrestleMania, will be broadcast exclusively through ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform. This recently announced agreement covers two-night events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam, as well as other major WWE events such as Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank. WWE will be responsible for producing these events for ESPN platforms, ensuring an unparalleled experience for fans.

The association also includes the broadcast of pre- and post-event programs for WWE live events, offering fans comprehensive and detailed coverage. Mark Shapiro, President and COO of TKO, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, highlighting the rich narrative, incredible athleticism, and cultural experiences that characterize WWE’s premium events. Shapiro pointed to ESPN’s successful relationship with UFC as an example of the transformative impact that ESPN’s presence can have. ESPN’s streaming service will launch on August 21st with a monthly price of $29.99 and will offer access to all national ESPN linear networks, as well as ESPN on ABC and other streaming options. WWE events previously streamed on Peacock in 2025.
