Carlos Alcaraz Recovers ATP Ranking Number 1
Carlos Alcaraz has officially returned to the top of the ATP ranking, reclaiming the number 1 spot for the first time in two years. The Spanish tennis player displaced Jannik Sinner after defeating him in the US Open final.Alcaraz, after winning his second title at Flushing Meadows and his sixth Grand Slam trophy, expressed his satisfaction. Sinner, who had held the top spot since June 2024, with a stay of 65 weeks, gave up his place. Alcaraz, who reached number 1 for the first time in September 2022 at the age of 19, being the youngest in ATP history to achieve it, had lost that position in September 2023.
