Jazz Chisholm Jr. Retires from Game Due to Knee Injury

The New York Yankees’ second baseman, Jazz Chisholm Jr., had to leave Thursday night’s game against the Houston Astros in the fourth inning due to contusions on both knees.

The team reported that Chisholm suffered contusions on both knees, the result of different plays.

The first injury occurred in a collision with José Altuve at the end of the third inning, when Chisholm tagged him to get him out while he was trying to steal second base. After the play, he grabbed his left knee and walked off the field with difficulty.
