Managua, Nicaragua. The Brazilian national team secured its place in the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 semi-finals after defeating the Dominican Republic with a score of 94-82 this Thursday at the Alexis Argüello Sports Complex in Managua.
Brazil demonstrated their dominance from the start of the match, controlling the pace of the game thanks to their effectiveness in shots and their control of rebounds, which hindered the performance of the Dominicans.
Despite the Dominican Republic’s attempts to react in the third quarter, fueled by their perimeter offense, Brazil maintained its defensive solidity, thwarting any comeback attempts.
With this result, Brazil is positioned among the four best teams in the tournament, while the Dominican Republic ends its participation in the AmeriCup 2025 after a promising group stage.
The semifinals of the AmeriCup 2025 will take place this weekend, where Brazil will seek to advance towards the continental title.
