Lamine Yamal and Cubarsí, Candidates for the 2025 Kopa Trophy
The young Spanish talent, Lamine Yamal, winner of the Kopa trophy in 2024, is once again a candidate for the prestigious award in its 2025 edition. The news was confirmed by the organizers this Thursday, generating great expectation in the world of football.
Alongside Yamal, his compatriot and teammate at Barcelona, Pau Cubarsí, is also among the nominees for the second consecutive year. In addition, Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen completes the trio of Spaniards vying for the award.
The list of candidates for the 2025 Kopa trophy is completed with emerging figures from world football:

Women’s Kopa Trophy Nominees
In the women’s category, the Spaniard Vicky López, the Paraguayan Claudia Martínez Ovando and the Colombian Linda Caicedo are the candidates for the Kopa trophy.
Michelle Agyemang (England) and Wieke Kaptein (Netherlands) are also competing for the award.
This year, France Football magazine, creator of the Ballon d’Or, will award the women’s Kopa trophy for the first time, a recognition of young talents that has been awarded since 2018.
