Stephanie Kyriacou Stars in Double Ace at the Women’s Open Championship
Porthcawl, Wales – Golfer Stephanie Kyriacou had a starring role in two hole-in-ones during the Women’s Open Championship this week. The Australian player was the protagonist of an unusual moment on the Royal Porthcawl course.
Kyriacou achieved the first hole-in-one of the tournament. However, her participation didn’t end there. On Sunday, Kyriacou was involved in another ace, this time in an unexpected way.
Mimi Rhodes, from England, achieved a hole-in-one on the fifth par-3 hole. Her tee shot impacted Kyriacou’s ball, changing its trajectory and sending it directly into the hole.Rhodes’ shot would have continued long if it weren’t for the presence of Kyriacou’s ball. Kyriacou had hit first and was close to achieving his second ace, but the ball rolled a few centimeters from the hole.
Kyriacou had already achieved a hole-in-one on the par-3 8th hole during the second round on Friday.
