Liverpool currently has no plans to submit a second offer for Alexander Isak, according to a source close to the club. This decision comes after Newcastle United rejected the team’s initial proposal for the striker. The club of Arne Slot had offered a sum that could reach 110 million pounds (145 million dollars), a figure significantly lower than the valuation of 150 million pounds (197 million dollars) that Newcastle has on the player. Liverpool’s stance could change if the Tyneside club finds a suitable replacement in the transfer market and shows a willingness to let Isak go this summer.

Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak es un objetivo para varios de los clubes más importantes del mundo este verano.
The Swedish international is not participating in Newcastle’s Asian tour due to a “minor hamstring injury” and is recovering at the training facilities of Real Sociedad, his former club. The possible departure of Luis Díaz to Bayern Munich for £65.5 million ($49.5 million) could help finance any deal. Newcastle maintains its position of wanting to keep its star striker. Isak missed last weekend’s match against Arsenal in Singapore and a match against a K-League XI combined team. He will also not be available for the match against Tottenham Hotspur in South Korea on Sunday.

Isak has established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League since his arrival at Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022. Last season, he scored 23 goals in 34 Premier League matches, finishing only behind Mohamed Salah, who scored 29 goals in the race for the Golden Boot. Isak’s winning goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final in March gave Newcastle their first domestic trophy in 70 years.
