Asoprosado Announces Softball Master Tournament with Special Dedication

SANTO DOMINGO, Rep. Dom. – The excitement of master softball returns with the league tournament of the Santo Domingo Province Softball Association (Asoprosado). The master flat category will begin on Saturday, August 2, starting at 2:30 in the afternoon, with the participation of eight teams made up of players over 45 years old. The president of Asoprosado, Alison Díaz, announced that the teams will compete for the Harmony, Friendship and Brotherhood Cup 2025, dedicated to the licensed Julia Martínez Sánchez, vice-consul of the Dominican Republic in Curaçao.

Meeting Groups and Locations

The teams were divided into two groups for the competition:

• Group A: Seguros Patria, Viejos del Tamarindo, Invivienda-A, Los Mameyes-B, Los Cerros de Buena Vista 1. The matches will be played at the Los Cerros and Invivienda stadiums.
• Group B: Invivienda-B, Los Mameyes-A, Viejos del Tamarindo, San Jerónimo. The matches will take place at the Los Mameyes and San Luis stadiums.

The top two teams from each group will advance to a best-of-three series, scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd, starting at 9:00 AM. Group A will play at Los Mameyes stadium, while Group B will play in Invivienda. The winners of these series will face each other in the grand final, a best-of-three series, which will begin on Thursday the 7th at 7:00 PM. If a third game is necessary, it will be played on Saturday the 9th.

The first two events have been exciting, where the Los Carniceros teams were crowned in the Junior-B category and in the chata league tournament, the Reales de Cabirma-B, where thousands of softball fans from the demarcation attended each game.
