Bayaguana Mayor’s Office allocates funds to protect Fire Department equipment
In an effort to strengthen local security infrastructure, the mayor of Bayaguana, Frangel García, formally delivered an economic contribution of RD$500,000 pesos. This amount constitutes the initial contribution destined for the construction of the roof on the facade of the Fire Department of this municipality.
The delivery was received by the institution’s superintendent, Alexis De la Rosa, who had previously managed this project with the mayor’s office with the primary objective of safeguarding the entity’s heavy equipment.
Protection of strategic assets
As De la Rosa explained, the construction is vital for the preservation of one of the fire trucks, whose valuation exceeds RD$20 million. Currently, the unit is out in the open, exposed to weather factors such as rain and dew, which accelerates its physical and mechanical wear.
This investment is fundamental to ensure that our equipment remains in optimal condition. Protecting this vehicle ensures that we are always ready to respond to any emergency that arises in our municipality.

During the event, the mayor expressed his gratitude to both Mayor Frangel García and the Council of Aldermen of the Bayaguana City Council. He highlighted that the approval of these funds reflects the commitment of local authorities to citizen security and the maintenance of the work tools of emergency services.
With this project, the municipal administration seeks not only to prevent the deterioration of state assets, but also to optimize the operational capacity of the firefighters, who play a crucial role in responding to risk situations for the inhabitants of Monte Plata.
