Army conducts military supervision at the border with Haiti
The Commanding General of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD), Major General Jimmy Arias Grullón, initiated an exhaustive military supervision tour at the border with Haiti. This strategic inspection, scheduled to last for three days, has the primary objective of evaluating the operational capacity, logistical status, and effectiveness of security measures in the border zone.
The tour covers various critical points under the responsibility of the infantry brigades, including key sectors such as Manzanillo, Dajabón, La Vigía, the Masacre River, Capotillo, Restauración, Pedro Santana, and Jimaní. During his visit to the Tenth Infantry Battalion in Dajabón, Major General Arias Grullón conducted a thorough inspection of the weaponry, tactical vehicles, surveillance systems, and the general condition of the military equipment.
Strengthening security and operability
This military supervision at the border seeks to ensure that troops maintain strict and efficient control over the territorial limits. The general commander took advantage of the deployment to verify the status of the perimeter fence, highlighting the relevance of this infrastructure in the current national surveillance scheme.
The border is guarded like never before; the enlistment and morale of the soldiers is commendable.
