Honduras seeks Dominican advice to organize the 2029 Central American Games
The President of Honduras, Nasry Asfura Zablah, visited the National Palace to formally request the collaboration and technical advice of the Dominican Republic with the goal of preparing for the XIII Central American Games, scheduled to be held in Tegucigalpa in November 2029.
This request arises following the organizational success of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, an event that brought together more than 6,000 athletes from 37 nations and marked a historic milestone by commemorating the centenary of this regional competition.
Recognition of Dominican sports management
During his meeting with President Luis Abinader, the Honduran leader highlighted the professionalism shown by the country in organizing the recent sporting event. Asfura Zablah stressed that the Dominican model is a benchmark of success, not only for its logistics, but also for the performance of its athletes in the competition.
An example where you were the important actors in every aspect, including those 155 medals. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to also prepare ourselves and give us that support for November 2029, as we are the host of the Central American Games in Honduras.
