Ukraine executes anti-corruption operation against high-ranking officials and lawmakers
Ukrainian authorities have launched a large-scale strategic intervention to dismantle an alleged criminal network operating in the highest spheres of political power. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) confirmed that the deployment, dubbed Operation Forrest Gump, involves key figures from the government and the legislature.
The operation has as its central objective an organized group allegedly led by a deputy and a former deputy, also counting on the participation of high-ranking officials linked to the Office of the President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As part of the proceedings, anti-corruption agents carried out searches at the residences of individuals holding highly sensitive positions in the public administration. Among the names mentioned are:
- Irina Mudra: Deputy Head of the Office of the President, who oversees judicial reform and the creation of a special tribunal for crimes of aggression.
- Vadim Stolar: Member of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Legislator Stolar spoke out through his social media, confirming the presence of authorities at his home. He assured that he maintains a stance of full cooperation with the investigative body, stressing that he is not obstructing the agents’ work.
I am not putting any obstacles in the way of the work of law enforcement agencies.

Preliminary findings and evidence
During the searches, investigators found a key document: a crisis communication plan linked to the Temporary Investigation Commission of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the authorities, this document details strategies and messages designed to manage public perception regarding the activities of said parliamentary commission.
Additionally, the NABU and the SAP released audiovisual material that includes fragments of intercepted conversations. Although the video offers a glimpse into the operation, the authorities have not yet clarified the full scope of the audio recordings nor have they identified all the participants in the recordings. For the moment, the investigation is ongoing and it is expected that, as the proceedings advance, more details will be revealed about this case that is shaking the political stability of Ukraine.
