Juan Soto intensifies his recovery: The star outfielder aims for a key return with the Mets
Star outfielder Juan Soto took a positive step in his rehabilitation process on Friday at Citi Field. The player was seen performing speed exercises and sprints in the outfield, showing significant progress as he recovers from a left calf strain that has kept him out of action since July 24th.
Although the organization has not yet determined an exact date for his reactivation from the injured list, the Dominican remains optimistic and firmly convinced that he will suit up again before the current Major League season concludes.
A return with a vision for the future
Soto, who has closely followed his team’s recent performance, highlighted the consistency shown by the Mets after recording a 6-3 record on their last road trip. For the slugger, his return not only represents a key piece for the lineup, but an opportunity to consolidate the team’s good momentum.
We are playing very good baseball right now. Why not try to rejoin this team? It would be fun. It would be something big for me and for the team. I want to finish the season strong and keep the momentum for next year as well.
Juan SotoBalance of a season marked by injuries
The current campaign has presented unprecedented challenges for Soto in terms of health. After being placed on the injured list in April due to a right calf strain, his second absence due to a similar ailment in his left leg has prevented him from participating in 38 games to date.

The player admitted that this experience has been a necessary learning process for his professional career. “It is hard for me to miss so many games, but I think it is good for my career because it will teach me many things. I must adjust my training and conditioning, as well as learn more about how my body works to continue moving forward in a positive way,” the star player concluded.
