Consternation in Capotillo: Fetus found in the vicinity of the Moscoso Puello Hospital
The community of the Capotillo sector, in the National District, is plunged into indignation following the discovery of a fetus in the vicinity of the Francisco Moscoso Puello Hospital. The event has mobilized residents, who are demanding that the authorities conduct an exhaustive investigation to clarify the incident and determine legal responsibilities.
According to the preliminary diagnosis of the forensic doctor, the fetus was between 14 and 16 weeks of gestation. Following the discovery, which occurred near Nicolás de Ovando Avenue, the remains were transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the standard procedures that will allow for a deeper investigation into the case.
Key testimony points to a suspect
Alex Núñez Castro, a motorcycle taxi driver who works in the area, offered details about what happened moments before the discovery. According to his account, he observed a woman with specific characteristics passing through the place.

The witness described the woman as someone of foreign appearance with braided hair, asserting that they could identify her if they saw her again. However, authorities remain cautious, as the identity and nationality of the person involved have not yet been officially confirmed.
Demand use of security cameras
Residents of the sector have emphasized that the area has multiple video surveillance systems. For the community members, this technological resource is fundamental to identify the person responsible and proceed with the corresponding sanctions.
They must open an investigation process to see which mother threw that fetus there. That is the right thing for the Dominican authorities to do, whether it is the prosecutor or the Police.
