James Rodríguez: The Docuseries Reveals the Intimacy of the Colombian Idol
The streaming platform Netflix announced the premiere of a docuseries about the life of soccer player James Rodríguez, scheduled for May 21st. This production, where the player, currently at Minnesota United of the MLS, shares his story in the first person, promises an in-depth look at his career.
The announcement was made after the series trailer was released, where the platform highlighted that James Rodríguez “reveals the path he took to become a symbol on and off the field.”
The documentary series, consisting of three episodes, will explore key moments in the footballer’s career, from his beginnings to his consecration at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. His time at clubs such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and his return to the Colombian National Team will also be addressed.
The production, directed by Simón Brand, seeks to offer the athlete’s followers a deeper understanding of his journey, decisions, and mentality, especially in the run-up to the World Cup, where Rodríguez is expected to play a prominent role.

The docuseries will include unreleased images and testimonies from prominent figures in football, such as Luis Díaz, Radamel Falcao and David Ospina, among others. In addition, it will feature the participation of Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, José Néstor Pékerman and Carlo Ancelotti.
