FEDOMES Fine-Tunes Details for the Central American and Caribbean Games

Santo Domingo – The Dominican Fencing Federation (FEDOMES) has begun its preparations for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games, an event that will take place in the country from July 24 to August 8 of this year. Last Saturday, at the Club Los Prados, members of the Executive Committee led by Gilberto Soriano, along with technicians and athletes from the national fencing team, met. The meeting served to exchange ideas and expectations about the Dominican participation in the international competition.

Team members are enthusiastic and committed to the clear goal: “win”.

Technicians Agustín García, Carmen Núñez, Randall Hernández, Carlos Vega, Alodia Rodríguez and Gleni Samuel, assured that the sabre, épée and foil teams are motivated and focused on victory. Athletes Melody Martínez, Maiber de la Cruz, Franchelis Ramos, Rossy Feliz, José Lockward, Elsa Mateo, and Gabriel Alfau expressed their optimism. Martínez, representative of women’s sabre, commented that they are working hard to gain confidence and reach the podium at the Games.
