Andersson García, Player of the Week in the LNB Super League
Santo Domingo – Andersson García, player of the Marineros de Puerto Plata, was awarded as the Player of the Week in the Super League of the LNB, thanks to his performance between April 28 and May 3.
García demonstrated exceptional performance during the third week of the competition, averaging a triple-double with 16.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 12.5 assists. In addition, he achieved 44% field goal efficiency and a 71 efficiency rating in the two games he played with his team.
The player from Moca, who also participated in the NBA this year, received the support of the journalists covering the league, obtaining 24 out of 59 votes, surpassing Luismal Ferreiras, from the Gigantes Basketball Club, who obtained 14 votes.
Ferreiras, who participated in three games, averaged 17.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, with 55% field goal efficiency and an efficiency rating of 68.
Other players also received votes, including Romeao Ferguson (8 votes) of the South Titans; Marvin Smith Jr. (6) of the East Sugar Cane Growers; Eloy Vargas (3) of the Moca Heroes; Francis King Fitzgerald (2) of the Giants, and Gerardo Suero (2) of the Santo Domingo Lions.
García joins Luismal Ferreiras and Jordan Hall (Metros de Santiago) as the players who have been recognized as the most outstanding of the week in the LNB Super League.
