The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident that injured Anthony Joshua and caused the death of two people has been charged with reckless and dangerous driving, according to the Nigerian police. Joshua and the driver sustained minor injuries in the crash, while Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, two members of the British-Nigerian boxer’s training team, lost their lives. The Ogun State Police Command issued a statement on Friday to report that the driver was arraigned at the Sagamu Magistrates’ Court that same day. Kayode was charged with “reckless driving” and “dangerous driving causing death”, driving without a valid driver’s license, and driving “without due care and attention, causing bodily harm and property damage”. He was granted bail of five million naira ($3,500) but will remain in custody until he meets the bail conditions.
