El fin de semana de combates de alto calibre ha reconfigurado el panorama del boxeo, con cambios significativos en las clasificaciones por división. La actuación estelar de Terence Crawford contra Canelo Álvarez fue el punto culminante, marcando un antes y un después en varias categorías.
Crawford Asciende, Canelo Desciende
Terence Crawford, tras una exhibición magistral, dejó atrás su posición de líder en las 154 libras para convertirse en el nuevo rey de los supermedianos. Su victoria por decisión unánime sobre Canelo Álvarez en Las Vegas no solo le otorgó el título, sino que también lo impulsó al primer puesto en las 168 libras. Canelo, por su parte, desciende al segundo lugar.

En la cartelera, Lester Martínez se ganó un lugar en el ranking de los supermedianos tras un empate dividido con el campeón interino del CMB, Christian Mbilli. A pesar de un desempeño notable y un aguante impresionante, Martínez tuvo que conformarse con el empate. Mbilli, aunque conservó su cinturón interino, cayó al quinto puesto.
En Nagoya, Japón, Naoya Inoue demostró su destreza al derrotar a Murodjon Akhmadliev por decisión unánime, conservando su estatus indiscutible en el peso superpluma. Inoue consolida su posición en la cima de la división, mientras que Akhmadliev se mantiene en el tercer lugar.
Christian Medina, con una actuación impresionante, conquistó el título mundial de la OMB al noquear a Yoshiki Takei en el cuarto asalto en el evento coestelar Inoue-Akhmadliev. Los boxeadores que no hayan competido en los últimos 12 meses, y no tengan una pelea programada, serán excluidos de los rankings hasta que vuelvan a pelear. Asimismo, cualquier boxeador que dé positivo por sustancias para mejorar el rendimiento será retirado. Podrá reingresar a los rankings después de su siguiente combate.
