Hulk Hogan, the iconic wrestler known for his characteristic mustache and bandana, has passed away at the age of 71, according to authorities in Florida and WWE this Thursday. Clearwater, Florida authorities responded to an emergency call on Thursday morning due to cardiac arrest. Hogan was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to a police statement posted on Facebook. Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, was possibly the biggest star in the long history of WWE. He was the main attraction of the first WrestleMania in 1985 and a constant figure for years, facing legends like Andre The Giant and Randy Savage, up to The Rock and even the company’s president, Vince McMahon. Hogan won at least six WWE championships and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Hogan’s fame transcended the world of wrestling, making him a household name worldwide. He participated in numerous films, including the third installment of “Rocky”, where he faced the main character played by Sylvester Stallone. WWE expressed its sorrow through a post on X, lamenting the death of the Hall of Fame member.

“One of the most recognizable figures in pop culture, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans,” the organization stated.
