WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Spectacle in 2027

In an unprecedented milestone, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will venture outside of North America for the first time in its history. The “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027, as announced by WWE on Friday. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been an exclusive event for North American cities. The idea of taking the spectacle worldwide was anticipated by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and will now materialize.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans around the world.

The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned in a now-deleted Snapchat live video that WrestleMania would be held in Saudi Arabia.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans worldwide.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom that included multiple events in the country over a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s four “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania.
