WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

The iconic WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will break boundaries in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. Saudi Arabia, specifically Riyadh, will be the venue for this spectacle within the framework of “Riyadh Season”. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has remained faithful to North American cities. However, this decision marks a milestone in the event’s history and in WWE’s global strategy.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after the revelation by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who anticipated the news through a video on Snapchat.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

The relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia is strengthened with this agreement. Since 2018, the company has held events in the country, the result of a one billion dollar deal that will extend for a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held on Saudi soil. Meanwhile, fans can prepare for WrestleMania 42, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts this major event.
